About Annalise
My passion for mathematics developed from an early interest in patterns, structure, and logical consistency. This interest led me to complete an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, where I studied both theoretical foundations and real-world applications. Over 13 years of teaching, I have helped students build confidence by breaking complex ideas into clear, manageable steps.
I believe mathematics teaching should be supportive and flexible. I take time to understand each learner’s thinking process and adapt explanations accordingly. Visual reasoning, real-life examples, and structured progression are central to my teaching philosophy.
Outside teaching, I continue engaging with mathematics through applied problem-solving and conceptual exploration. Teaching mathematics is rewarding because it empowers learners with clarity, confidence, and logical skills that benefit every aspect of life.

Mathematics lessons are structured to help learners see mathematics as a connected system of reasoning rather than isolated formulas. I guide students through arithmetic foundations, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and applied problem-solving by emphasizing logical flow and conceptual relationships. Each topic is introduced carefully, ensuring learners understand both the process and the reasoning behind each method.
Lesson structure is adapted to the learner’s current level and objectives. Beginners focus on number sense, foundational operations, and confidence-building through repetition and clarity. Intermediate learners work on algebraic manipulation, word problems, graphical interpretation, and multi-step reasoning. Advanced learners explore calculus applications, proofs, optimization, and exam-focused strategies. Every lesson includes guided examples, independent practice, reflection, and targeted feedback.
