About Ovia
I hold a B.Sc in Pure Mathematics and an M.Sc in Mathematical Modeling, academic paths that strengthened my appreciation for abstraction, structure, and real-world application. Over 11 years of teaching, I have worked with learners at various stages, supporting them as they build confidence in mathematical reasoning. Teaching mathematics has shown me that understanding develops best when learners feel supported and unhurried.
My teaching style emphasizes clarity, adaptability, and conceptual depth. I focus on identifying how each learner thinks and adjusting explanations accordingly. Visual reasoning, structured examples, and progressive challenges are central to my approach. Rather than focusing only on correct answers, I encourage learners to explain their thinking and refine their logical flow. This helps build long-term confidence and independence.
Outside formal teaching, I remain engaged with mathematical modeling, applied analysis, and problem exploration. These interests inform my lessons and keep them grounded in meaningful context. Teaching mathematics is fulfilling because I witness learners grow from uncertainty into clarity and confidence. Supporting that transformation continues to motivate my work every day.
