About Alisha
My passion for mathematics began with a fascination for patterns, problem-solving, and logical reasoning. This interest led me to pursue a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, providing both theoretical depth and practical application experience. Over 9 years of teaching, I have helped students at all levels transform uncertainty into confidence through structured, supportive guidance. I adapt my teaching to individual learning styles, using visual aids, stepwise explanations, and real-world examples to make abstract concepts approachable. I focus on building student confidence, ensuring learners feel capable and motivated as they progress. Encouraging curiosity, exploration, and persistence is central to my teaching philosophy. Outside teaching, I engage in research, mathematical modeling projects, and continued professional development to stay current with advances in mathematics. Bringing these insights into lessons enriches learning and makes concepts more meaningful.
