About Carly
My interest in Mathematics began with a deep fascination for numbers, patterns, and logical structures that explain how problems can be solved step by step. I completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mathematics and later pursued a PhD in Mathematics, which helped me develop a strong understanding of both theoretical concepts and advanced problem-solving techniques. Over the past 12 years, I have worked with students from different levels, helping them overcome challenges and build confidence through clear and structured teaching methods.
I believe that every student has the ability to succeed in Mathematics with the right guidance and support. My teaching style focuses on explaining concepts in a simple and clear way, using step-by-step problem solving and consistent practice. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring different methods without hesitation. This helps them build confidence, improve understanding, and develop independence in their learning process.
Outside of teaching, I continue to engage with Mathematics by solving problems, exploring new techniques, and learning different approaches to teaching. This helps me keep my lessons fresh and effective. Teaching Maths is deeply fulfilling because I see students grow from uncertainty to confidence, and I enjoy helping them become strong and independent thinkers.

Mathematics becomes more comfortable and clear when students understand the reasoning behind each step instead of depending only on memorised formulas. In my lessons, I focus on topics such as algebra, geometry, and calculus, explaining each concept in a simple and structured way. I carefully break down complex problems into smaller steps so students can follow the logic without confusion. By using clear explanations and relatable examples, I help students build a strong understanding that supports both confidence and long-term learning.
Each lesson is planned according to the student’s level and learning pace so that progress feels steady and natural. Beginners are guided through basic concepts using simple methods and visual understanding. Intermediate learners focus on applying concepts to different types of problems and improving accuracy in their work. Advanced students work on solving complex problems, improving speed, and preparing for exams with structured strategies. Every session includes practice exercises, guided solutions, and detailed feedback to ensure continuous improvement and confidence building.
Mathematics also helps students develop strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving ability. As they begin to recognise patterns and relationships, they become more confident in solving problems independently. This growth supports not only academic success but also improves their ability to think clearly in everyday situations. My goal is to make Maths simple, engaging, and meaningful, helping students feel confident and capable in their learning journey.
