About Daniel
I am a second-year BSc Applied Mathematics student with teaching experience since 2023, dedicated to helping learners at all levels succeed in mathematics. I believe in building deep understanding, logical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills. My lessons emphasize process, clarity, and effective test-writing strategies so that students can approach assessments with confidence.
In addition to tutoring, I also coach football at the University of Pretoria (Tuks), where I work with student-athletes within a structured and developmental sporting environment. The discipline, communication skills, and performance mindset I bring as a coach enrich how I support my learners: encouraging effort, resilience, and thoughtful preparation both on the field and in academics.
Students can expect lessons tailored to their needs, interactive problem practice, clear explanations, and targeted feedback aimed at developing confidence and independence.

I take a process-oriented approach to mathematics tutoring, focusing on helping students understand why methods work, not just how to apply them. My goal is to build clear thinking, structured problem-solving skills, and independence.
What makes my lessons unique is the emphasis on exam and test strategy. Many students lose marks due to poor structure or misinterpreting questions. I teach learners how to approach problems logically, manage time effectively, and present solutions clearly to maximise marks.
I teach in English and adapt each lesson to the student’s level and pace.
A typical lesson includes concept clarification, guided practice, targeted feedback, and exam-style questions to build confidence under test conditions.
My lessons are aimed at primary and high school students who want to strengthen foundations, improve results, or gain confidence in mathematics.
