About Ryan
I am a Maths student at Imperial College. Having sat the GCSEs and A Levels myself not too long ago, I understand how stressful it can be for many students when it comes to Maths.
I am considerably experienced in teaching GCSE Maths, as I was a Maths Prefect at my school, where I taught many students there who were struggling on GCSE Maths. I also have some experience in teaching UKMT Maths Challenge topics to students, as I ran 'Zeta Club' during my time at Tiffin, in which I gave students many advanced tips to focus on, in order to help them achieve the Gold certificate they aspired for. I have done considerably well in these challenges myself, having gone to the Olympiad rounds in the Junior, Intermediate and Senior categories, notably achieving a Bronze Medal and Distinction in the Intermediate Olympiads, and a Distinction in the BMO Round 1. I also represented my school for the Senior Team Maths Challenge in a competition against other schools across the UK, which we came 1st place in. I am also offering help for anyone who needs to sit the TMUA entrance exam for their respective degree choice. I achieved a perfect 9.0 on this exam when I sat it, and believe I will be able to provide students with many useful tips to improve their scores in it, as well as their overall way of going about Maths problems.

I offer help on: GCSE Maths/FM, A Level Maths/FM, TMUA, and potentially UKMT Challenges too. For online lessons, I very much recommend the use of an electronic whiteboard, as I will be using Miro for these lessons.
My style of teaching aims to have the student truly understand the intricacies of each topic, as I believe this heavily reduces the mental strain a lot of students use to memorise every topic by heart. A lot of students make the mistake of memorising how to do things and not learning why things are done the way they are done, and so I aim to help students learn things the right way.
My lessons will typically last 1 hour, but I can also be flexible if necessary. The first lesson (free) will last 30 mins, and will be for me to get to know the student, their level, and thought process so that I can plan how to teach them best in the future.
