About Maurice
I’m Maurice老师 — a Canadian English teacher who spent six years living and teaching in China. During that time, I completely fell in love with the language, culture, and people. I speak fluent Mandarin, and Chinese music has become a big part of my life — from classic ballads to modern pop, I love singing and discovering new artists. Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about health and fitness. I run almost every day and I’m currently training for a full marathon. Running gives me balance, clarity, and a sense of purpose, and it’s something I love sharing with my students as well. In my classes, I bring together my love for languages, culture, and personal growth. I’ve helped countless Chinese students reach their IELTS Speaking goals, and I’m excited to continue supporting more learners with practical skills, confidence, and real communication ability.
