About the lesson

My personal teaching philosophy is to have as much hands-on teaching with real-life experiences as possible. I tailor the session to the student’s specific goals, such as preparing for a certification, job interview, or academic exam. Keeping the sessions engaging by incorporating real-world examples and encouraging questions. Our goal for the beginning of lessons is to identify the student's familiarity with the topic and set the tone for an interactive session. Next, we will discuss HR’s role in managing people, supporting organizational goals, and maintaining compliance. How HR impacts employee satisfaction, retention, and productivity. Other areas of discussion could be: Recruitment and Selection: Discuss job postings, interviews, and candidate evaluation. Training and Development: Explain onboarding, skills development, and performance management. Compensation and Benefits: Overview of salary structuring, bonuses, and employee perks. Employee Relations: Discuss conflict resolution, engagement, and workplace culture. Compliance and Legal Responsibilities: Briefly cover labor laws, equal opportunity, and workplace safety. I will incorporate interactive activities with Scenario-Based Problem Solving. Presenting a case study (e.g., “A company is experiencing high turnover rates. What steps should HR take to address this issue?”). Ask the student to suggest solutions, guiding them with questions. This allows the student to have real-life experience and feedback from me. My lessons are aimed to help any level of high school business studies, college and master's level courses.
