Teaching Methodology and Techniques:
I focus on understanding each student's unique learning style, whether they prefer visual aids, hands-on examples, or a more theoretical approach. I break down complex concepts into manageable pieces and use real-world examples to make the material relatable. My sessions are interactive, encouraging students to ask questions and engage with the subject matter actively. I also provide practice problems to reinforce learning and build confidence.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Warm-up/Review (5-10 mins):
Recap of the previous session's key concepts to ensure continuity.
Introduction to New Topic (10-15 mins):
Explanation of the topic using diagrams, examples, and analogies.
Guided Practice (15-20 mins):
Work through example problems together, addressing any confusion as it arises.
Independent Practice (10-15 mins):
Students solve a few problems on their own, with guidance if needed.
Q&A and Summary (5-10 mins):
Address any remaining questions and summarize key takeaways from the lesson.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
My unique combination of engineering and business backgrounds allows me to explain concepts in both a technical and practical way, showing students how the skills they learn apply beyond the classroom. I’m patient, adaptable, and committed to making challenging topics more accessible. My goal is not just to help students achieve good grades but to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the subject.
Who the Lessons Are For:
I tutor students from grades 6-12, specializing in mathematics (algebra, calculus, etc.), physics, and introductory engineering topics. My lessons are ideal for students who need extra help catching up, want to deepen their understanding of the subject, or are preparing for exams and standardized tests.
