About Shelly
I'm Shelly, a current MD1 student at The University of Melbourne (UoM). I was accepted into medicine on my first application round, without a biomedical background, and with an average GPA and GAMSAT. I knew what it was like to feel unsure about the application process, but my interview performance made the difference. I'm here to show you that with the right interview preparation, you can stand out and make the MMI your strength. I received MMI tutoring myself from an older MD student, and found that it has helped me tremendously. Before medicine, I completed a BSci in Chemistry, also at UoM. Outside of academics, I enjoy maintaining a healthy work-life balance through pilates and painting.
