About Shadi
Hello! My name is Shadi and I am heading into my second year in medical sciences at the University of Western Ontario. I have always been incredibly passionate about English and biology and hopefully, I get to share my passion for these subjects with you! In my free time, I love going to the gym, reading, and trying out new food places around my house. I also love helping others excel in classes and I hope to meet you soon!

As an English tutor, I am very familiar with the most recent high school English curriculum. This includes familiarity with texts such as Shakespeare, 1984, and other classic works of literature commonly covered in classes. I have experience writing formal essays, in-class essays, and speeches. I can tailor my lesson plan toward the student's goal, whether this is in writing, speaking, reading, or listening. As mentioned, I had a 90% + average in all my high school English courses and, since my family are also ESL, I have spent most of my life teaching English to others.
I am also currently a medical sciences student at Western University, which requires me to take university-level biology and chemistry courses, which I also took in high school last year. I am very familiar with the biology curriculum including topics covered in ecology and evolution, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, epigenetics, organ systems, and much more. In my most recent first-year biology course, I received a grade of 96%. I place a focus on the understanding of biology over just basic memorization, and I would be happy to tailor lesson plans to what is being covered in class.
