About Chinsom

Hi, I’m Chinsom — a passionate and experienced science and math tutor. I’m currently a medical student at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), and I hold a Master’s degree from Brown University. My academic journey has deepened my love for science and strengthened my commitment to helping others succeed in it. I’ve had the pleasure of tutoring elementary, high school, and undergraduate students over the years, and I understand that everyone learns differently. That’s why I tailor my approach to fit each student’s unique needs, whether it’s mastering core concepts, preparing for exams, or building long-term academic confidence. Science has always been my passion — I’ve not only excelled in it but have truly enjoyed diving deep into how the world works. My goal is to share that excitement with my students and help them discover their own potential in STEM subjects. Outside of academics, I love staying active through sports and exploring new places through travel. About the lesson

As a tutor, I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity and confidence. My approach is personalized—every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand their unique strengths, challenges, and learning styles. I break down complex concepts into simple, relatable terms, using real-life examples and visual aids where needed to make abstract ideas more concrete.

When it comes to science and math, I emphasize understanding over memorization. I guide students through problem-solving techniques, help them recognize patterns, and encourage critical thinking so they can apply their knowledge beyond the classroom. I also like to ask questions that prompt reflection and deeper understanding, creating a two-way dialogue rather than just giving answers.

My goal is to help students improve their grades and spark a genuine interest in the subjects. I share my knowledge with patience and enthusiasm, always aiming to build a solid foundation that will serve them well in the long run.
