About Katie
I am a first year medical student at the University of Birmingham. I attended Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls and achieved 11A*s at GCSE and A*AA at A level when I took Biology, Chemistry and Maths. During sixth form, I tutored students in younger years in the sciences and maths, helping them to significantly boost their grades in end of year exams and achieve a much better understanding of the subject.

In an hours session, I usually teach a student the content for one subtopic and then do a verbal assessment to consolidate and check for full understanding. If there are still gaps in their knowledge during this quick verbal test, I then go over the content again that they are less confident on to achieve full understanding. I also make my own revision worksheets for each topic which come in the form of a mind map with gap fills for the student which they can then keep for exam revision purposes in the future.
