About Sophie
I graduated from year 12 with an english study score of 50 (perfect score) and studied the texts Rear Window and Never Let Me Go/Stasiland. However, regardless of the text I can help you with your writing style, text knowledge and grammar to achieve fluent writing.
I am a patient, enthusiastic and dedicated tutor whose goals are to break down tricky concepts into simple and easy to follow ideas and build confidence in my students. I will work with students to develop their reading skills, spelling, idea generation, sentence/paragraph structure and writing (creative and analytical).
I have experience tutoring on a volunteer basis for Exodus Community House in which I helped students between years 5-10 with their spelling and writing skills.

Hey! My name is Sophie. I recently graduated from year 12 in 2020 with an ATAR of 98.75. I am now studying medicine at the University of Adelaide.
I believe that successful tutoring is centred around ensuring that the student feels supported and encouraged. That's why my tutoring style works around building confidence in my students, as well as helping them to meet self-set goals in a patient and safe environment.
Learning is about more than studying for an upcoming test. I hope to cultivate deeper understanding in my students of the task or topic at hand through asking my students questions and encouraging deep thought.
