About Magan
I am a medical student currently pursuing my education at the esteemed University of Texas Southwestern. I had the privilege of completing my undergraduate studies at The George Washington University , where I laid a solid foundation for my academic journey. Being Cameroonian, my cultural background brings a unique perspective to my studies, allowing me to embrace a global understanding of healthcare and its profound impact. Motivated by my passion for helping others and making a positive difference in the world, I approach my medical education with dedication and ambition. As a tutor, my approach is centered around creating an engaging and interactive learning environment to facilitate effective knowledge sharing. I aim to adapt my teaching method and techniques to the specific needs and learning style of each individual student.
My teaching method involves a combination of explanation, demonstration, and practice. I begin by providing a clear and concise explanation of the topic or concept at hand, breaking it down into manageable parts. I use relevant examples and real-life applications to enhance understanding and foster a deeper connection with the subject matter. Additionally, I may employ visual aids, such as diagrams or graphs, to make complex ideas more accessible.
To reinforce learning, I encourage active participation from the student through discussions, questions, and problem-solving exercises. I believe in the power of hands-on learning, so I provide opportunities for practical application of the knowledge learned. This can include solving practice problems, engaging in case studies, or engaging in interactive simulations, depending on the subject and the student's preferences.
A typical lesson plan with me would begin by assessing the student's existing knowledge and understanding of the topic. Based on this assessment, I would tailor the lesson to address any knowledge gaps or areas of weakness. The lesson would consist of a step-by-step progression, starting with foundational concepts and gradually building up to more advanced material. Throughout the lesson, I would regularly check for understanding and provide feedback to ensure the student stays on track.
