About Megz
A little about me is that I grew up as a little kid in the Bronx breakdancing, then moved to Long Island and traded dance studios. I love the fact that I love learning two worlds that people need to see what I have learned from still being a student, dancer, choreographer, and teacher. I started teaching at the age of 15 and now I’m traveling around the world giving back but also showing everyone how dance is beautiful in its own way and how you can take that and put it in your path however you want to create who you are.

From the Bronx to the global stage, Megan "Megz" Alfonso is a force in the dance world. With over 33 years of dedication to her craft, Megz has carved out a unique space as a dancer, choreographer, and educator.
Her journey includes captivating millions as a Top 6 finalist on So You Think You Can Dance, touring internationally with DecaDance Company, and sharing the stage with icons like Eminem at the 2024 VMAs. Known for her eye-opening style and dynamic versatility, Megz continues to push boundaries—whether she's working with top brands like Matrix/L’Oréal or inspiring the next generation of dancers in the studio.
