About Madhavi
I am a mental health professional, with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Mental Health & Social Work from Mumbai. Currently, I am working as a child counselor and a teacher facilitating Social Emotional Learning and concepts related to gender, feminism, caste, etc. with my students. My purpose of working in the field of education is to make it accessible and inclusive for all. Working with children, learning with them everyday, is what keeps me going :)

My classes will be a space where you can constantly learn, unlearn, and question your views and opinions about the topics at hand. It will not be a one-way instructional time - rather an equal process where both you and me can learn from each other. As someone who has recently graduated but is also actively taking up cases, I will be able to find a balance between understanding course content + bringing in real life examples of clinical mental health concerns. I believe teaching is intersectional, so everything we do in the classroom will have a strong connection with the world and our lives.
