About Ilaria

I graduated with honors from Politecnico di Milano in Communication Design (110/110 cum laude + best graduate medal) with a thesis in collaboration with Google. My first 13 years of professional life were spent as a UX/UI designer across sectors like corporate (Cerved Group), consulting (Accenture), design studios (Meduse – GFT), and health-tech startups such as Nuvyta and L.I.F.E. Yet it was only after a painful experience in a discriminatory workplace, followed by a long pause for healing and reflection, that I truly redefined my role: from doing design to facilitating transformation. During that time, I had the opportunity to speak with Don Norman in a mentoring session on ADPList, where we discussed his book Design for a Better World. I told him I no longer saw myself as a “real designer.” He looked at me and said: “You are a UX designer in the purest sense—not because of the tools you use, but because you help others see what people really need.” He was especially touched by my non-profit project "Non Siamo Soli", created to support people affected by psychiatric disorders and combat stigma through design, coaching, and storytelling. That moment of clarity pushed me to enroll in the UX Coaching course at Nielsen Norman Group, followed by intensive training in Agile and Mental Coaching at Master Coach Italia. That experience, more than just educational, allowed me to rediscover my strengths, my ADHD diagnosis, and my nature as a multipotential neurodivergent—a unique lens that now allows me to work transversally across disciplines and people. Today, I collaborate with Consulente Ideale as a UX, Agile, and Mental Coach, leading 1:1 sessions and supporting organizations in remote transformation journeys. My approach is deeply human, and my coaching style is based on clarity, autonomy, psychological safety, and a strong ability to listen and adapt to the emotional rhythms of change

About the lesson

I help people and teams find direction, motivation, and meaning, integrating coaching tools with authentic and transformative listening. I work on concrete goals, but I don't forget that every change comes from within: my method combines structure, mindset, and heart. I support those who feel they have lost their way — and want to get back — and want to go back to listening to themselves, choosing themselves, acting. I trained as a mental coach at Master Coach Italia. At the same time, I chose to specialize as an agile coach, accompanying teams and organizations in concrete transformation paths, based on objectives, iteration, and collective awareness.
