About Avery
Clear thinking remains my priority. I prefer substance over style. after 12 years of teaching.
I have worked with 300+ students ranging from total beginners to career switchers.
My BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin serves as my foundation for explaining complex systems simply.
I originally found this path while working at a university help desk and stayed because I enjoy solving real problems rather than tidy textbook puzzles.
Many of my students come to me after struggling with methods that simply did not work for them. I ignore clever tricks in favor of readable code that lasts.
I do not care about polish as much as I care about whether your underlying ideas are sound. Why do you want to learn C++?
