About Ayse
Hello, my name is Ayse pronounced I-share. I am 20 years old. I currently study criminology at undergraduate level. I was born in the UK but my parents are from North Cyprus. Having such a devoted mum meant learning Turkish was key this is why it was my first language. Growing up I remember feeling special as the language I spoke wasn't spoken by anyone else. I want Turkish to become a more universal language as I believe once you learn the basics you are all set to go. I have a unique method of teaching which is suitable for all students at different stages with different abilities. I aim to make everyone feel comfortable as I think you are more likely to pay attention and to learn that way. As Turkish isn't a language spoken regularly in the UK I would love to teach it. I love reading about laws/ regulations and the news in Turkish as well as teaching it. My lessons will start from 60 minutes ( 1 hour ) as I believe less than that is not enough time. My experience is around the ages of 10-15 at beginner level but I am certainly up for a challenge. I can promise my lessons will be both engaging and fun. I will make sure to regularly test in efficient ways to measure progress.
