About Michael
Michael is an MFA-trained Shakespearean actor, director, and teacher. He has studied acting with Broadway performers, and his text coaches include the founder of the American Shakespeare Center and the long-time text coach of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. He has appeared on stage as a professional actor with Island Shakespeare Festival in Washington State, and with the American Shakespeare Center and Richmond Shakespeare Festival in Virginia.
His students report feeling both supported and challenged.

Michael is enthusastic and supportive. Michael's acting technique focuses on being in the present moment and responding truthfully. He spends less time on theoretical concepts and more time teaching simple, actionable techniques that students can use for the rest of their lives.
He is well-versed in Shakespeare (pun intended) and loves helping students work on iambic pentameter and complex language.
