My teaching approach
I believe the best way to learn Microsoft Office isn't through abstract theory it's by working on real tasks you'll actually encounter, whether that's a report, a budget, or a presentation. My method is hands-on and project-based: instead of just explaining what a function or feature does, I have you use it immediately on a practical example, so the skill sticks.
I break every tool down into building blocks — starting with the interface and core logic, then layering in more advanced features once the basics are second nature. I always explain the "why" behind a technique, not just the "how," so you can adapt what you've learned to new situations rather than memorizing steps.
A typical lesson
A typical session starts with a quick recap of what we covered last time and any questions that came up while practicing. From there, we tackle a new concept or tool through a real example — for instance, building a budget tracker in Excel using formulas and conditional formatting, or designing a professional report in Word with proper formatting and a table of contents. Each lesson ends with a small practical task to reinforce what we covered, and I'm available to clarify anything that comes up while you're working through it on your own.
