About Elliott
I am a patient, adaptable tutor who works especially well with students who may struggle with confidence, focus, or understanding new concepts. Having faced similar challenges myself, I prioritize building trust, self-awareness, and effective learning strategies so students can better understand their own needs and feel comfortable advocating for them. I am equally comfortable using a more traditional tutoring approach focused on strengthening understanding of the material and improving grades. Every session is oriented around the goals of the student and their family, and I communicate with parents in advance to ensure lessons are targeted, supportive, and effective.

This class is designed to help students build the habits, routines, and systems they need to take control of their own education.
What a typical study skills session looks like:
The Digital & Physical Cleanup: We log into their school portal together to audit their grades, find any missing assignments, and organize their digital drives or physical binders.
Time Management & Planning: I teach them how to use a planner or calendar to map out their week, balancing homework, long-term projects, and extracurriculars.
Personalized Learning Tools: We discover their learning style and build a customized "study toolkit" (like flashcard methods, focus techniques, and note-taking frameworks) that they can use across all of their subjects.
