About Carmen

Public speaking is an invaluable skill - whether your focus is on refining your English, competitions, interviews, presentations, or business pitches, I’m here to help you express your most authentic self with impact, clarity and purpose.

I’m an award-winning public speaker, mentor, coach, and judge with over seven years of experience in competitive speaking, particularly in Model United Nations (MUN) and law. I’ve held over 30 roles competing and chairing at prestigious conferences, including the Oxford University MUN Conference. I’ve also developed and coached public speaking curricula from primary to university level, covering competition strategy, research, presentation, and persuasive communication.

As the former President of Malaysia’s leading NGO teaching policy literacy through MUN, I’ve collaborated with the European Union Delegation to train early-career diplomats and youth, hosting televised national conferences with diplomats and ministers.

My coaching style is dynamic and holistic, shaped by my varied career and background as a classically trained vocalist. I hold a qualification from the London College of Music and have won multiple international awards. This musical foundation allows me to help students connect with their body to refine their breathwork, diction, storytelling, and stage presence, transforming not just how they speak, but how they command a room.

My coaching blends public speaking, personal development, and positive communication. I specialise in helping you (or your child) develop the confidence and growth mindset needed to excel not only in school but also as well-rounded, self-assured individuals.

MUN is a simulation of the United Nations where participants represent different countries to debate and solve real-world issues from climate change to human rights.

MUN’s growing popularity in schools worldwide has made it a leading extracurricular activity, offering a fun way to engage with challenging concepts. Its emphasis on research, negotiation, and problem-solving makes it a launching pad for careers, especially in fields like law, public policy, and beyond.

My MUN coaching combines public speaking training with the skills needed to excel in international diplomacy and debate.

Together, we’ll work on:

• Debate structure and procedural mastery
• Researching national policies and global issues
