About Lucy
I am a French and Italian graduate from the University of Exeter. I completed a year abroad placement where I worked in an Italian secondary school helping to teach English as a foreign language. I have also completed a two-month internship in Paris at an agency that provides English-language courses and provides pedagogical resources to schools all over France.
Teaching is something that comes very naturally to me, and I am a big 'people person'! I struggled at school with neurodivergence, but I have now learned how to make learning fun and accessible for other people :)

During my degree, I have learned a lot about teaching English and would be more than happy to work with both native English speakers looking to improve their spelling, grammar and reading, and non-native speakers who have specific queries or areas they would like to learn and/or practice general conversation and pronunciation.
I have experience working with 10-18 year old school students, however I am happy to work with any age. As a leader at a local scout group, I have worked with young people between 4 and 18. If you have a child who needs support with literacy I would be happy to help them, too.
I also have plenty of experience working with young people who have SEND in varying forms, so please let me know if I can make any accommodations :)
Lessons will last an hour, however I would be happy to accommodate more/less time if I know in advance.
