About Eryn
I am a Modern Languages student (French and Gemran) at the University of Durham. I have just finished my second year and will spend my third year abroad working in Refugee Charities.
At A-level I studied English Language, English Literature, and French - I achieved A*A*A and have 11 A* GCSE grades. I am keen about explaining concepts and topics in ways that are easy to understand and take on.
I am friendly, patient, and understanding. I know what it is like to struggle to grasp a concept, and I wouldn't have achieved my grades if it weren't for the kind teachers and older students who took the time to work through problems with me. Now, in turn, I would like to be that kind teacher for other students!

My teaching method is discussing and exploring different themes and concepts, before applying them to various examples and encouraging the student to do the same. It's no good understanding a concept if you can't also apply it!
In terms of Grammar, learning the concept is important - but it is practising that makes all the difference!
In terms of literature, vibrant and enthusiastic discussion is a much more successful method of learning, rather than robotic application of knowledge. I am passionate about literature and reading and I hope this comes through in my teaching.
