About Trinidad
Students ranging from age 6 to adult fill my San Francisco studio. Conservatory discipline is often mistaken for a joyless pursuit of perfection. My own musical life began at age 8 and continues to evolve through the lens of Bartok and Prokofiev.
I prioritize technical foundations like scales, arpeggios, and hand independence to ensure students master their instrument. Jazz improvisation and memorization techniques remain central to how I help players interpret Ligeti or classical standards. Clear communication shapes how I share my training with those who seek a steady, gentle guide.

Starting with the mechanics of sight reading or accompaniment, we move toward a fluidity that feels organic. These sessions emphasize conservatory standards while keeping the music alive and playable.
I provide a 6.0 minute recorded playback of each session so students can review at home. This allows for focused study on specific passages and nuanced feedback.
13 years of instruction informs my ability to catch technical errors before they solidify. Precision makes the music sing. Clarity defines my method.
