About Lianne
I am a fourth-year uni student in a Bachelor of Primary Education and a Bachelor of Arts, and intend to become a primary school teacher.
I have been a volunteer and paid tutor since 2018, through this website, as well as through external portals. As I am in my final year of university, I have built a solid repertoire of teaching practices, and built up my experience through several professional placement opportunities, teaching whole classes of primary school students.

I try to adjust my teaching method according to the individual student's relative ability. Assessing their general capabilities allows me to scaffold their learning accordingly. In addition, I would ideally know what the student intends to get out of the class. I'm a patient but firm teacher, and I will work as hard as the student is willing to work with me. I am primarily targeting primary school students in arithmetic work (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), and this branches out further into fractions, decimals and the like. However I am willing to help out secondary students who may be struggling with this as well.
The first lesson will primarily consist of assessing a student's initial level of work, then providing some quick tips for improvement where time permits. If a student chooses to continue with me as a tutor, then I will construct a lesson plan accordingly for long-term development. I want to be able to work one on one with each student so they can get the best out of the lessons, but both I and they have to be willing to do the work.

Cancellation policy is as such:
For lessons that require travel: $15 compensation (this covers travel costs and lesson preparation time taken)
For Webcam lessons: $7 compensation (this covers lesson preparation time taken)
