About John

I know how discouraging it can get when your arm gets tired or everything sounds scratchy, so I keep things light, point out what’s going well, and we laugh at the squeaks together. If you want someone who actually gets it & helps you enjoy playing, I am right here. Let's make some music.

English

We start with whatever’s bugging you mostly bow grip, left hand, reading notes, or just getting a decent sound without squeaking. I mix in songs you like early on so it does not feel like endless drills. Whether it’s classical violin, Chinese erhu melodies or anything in between, we move at your speed and keep it enjoyable.
