About Elva
With over 7 years of tutoring experience, I am a passionate French tutor teaching high school and college students. I have successfully taught 150–200 students and helped them improve their academic results and confidence in French.
My teaching philosophy is based on clarity, patience, and confidence building. I believe learning a language should be enjoyable and easy to understand. I explain grammar concepts clearly and help students practise through speaking and writing.
I personalise my lessons according to each student’s goals and learning pace. I support students with exams, coursework, and overall language development. I also give regular feedback to help students improve steadily.
A notable achievement of my teaching career is helping students become confident French learners. Many students have improved their grades and communication skills. My goal is to provide a friendly and supportive learning environment where students can succeed.

My approach to teaching French combines real-world learning with personalised support. I use practical examples and case studies such as ordering food, writing emails, attending interviews, and social conversations to help students apply the language in real situations.
I remain flexible in my teaching style and adjust lesson plans according to the student’s progress and goals.
Collaboration is encouraged through interactive speaking activities, role-plays, and guided exercises that improve fluency. Compassion guides my teaching, and I provide encouragement and clear feedback throughout the learning process.
Along with French language learning, I also teach grammar basics, vocabulary development, pronunciation improvement, reading comprehension, writing practice, conversational French, cultural studies, and exam preparation.
