About Jason
I am a passionate Motion Graphics Designer with 4 years of industry experience. I currently teach 1st Year level Motion Design and Media Aesthetics. I've held my post for two years and have taught over 150 students in that time.
I also cover the basics of character animation. This includes character creation, rigging, lip-syncing, and animation.

I currently teach animation at the university level. I've taught over 150 students in my two years of lecturing and worked for companies such as Isuzu, Nissan, and National Geographic while working as a full-time motion designer.
I believe in involving my students, so my classes consist of step-by-step guidance with regards to the given assignments. I also then create detailed tutorials that cover what was done in class, allowing students to review the work and refine their animations at a more reasonable pace.
I do not subscribe to the idea that lecturers know everything and that there should be a boundary between teacher and student. I prefer to engage with my students on a level playing field, allowing us to learn from each other. I also find that my students respond well to this approach, most likely because I do not treat them like children.

Jason has been my Lecturer and has taught me quite a lot through his calm, and approachable teaching style. His tutorials are very detailed and easy to follow.
Jason was my lecturer for Motion Design and he has a calm and comfortable vibe when it comes to teaching a class as well as a one on one sessions. Even if you struggle or are not very confident in your work or ability, he is very patient appreciates any effort you put into your work and is more than happy to help better your work to the best of your ability and encourages you to do more. If you struggle to understand the work he makes tutorials that very easy to follow and understand. So I highly recommend Jason to any student.
