About Aryan
Teaching mathematics holds a special allure for me. It's not just about imparting knowledge; it's about igniting curiosity, fostering problem-solving skills, and nurturing a deep appreciation for the beauty of numbers and patterns. As an A-level student deeply passionate about mathematics, I find immense joy in unraveling its mysteries and sharing that excitement with others. Teaching provides me with the opportunity to inspire and empower students, helping them overcome challenges, build confidence, and unlock their potential.
In my third year of being at my secondary school I hated maths, not because I thought it was boring but because I struggled to understand the importance of revision and learning good techniques to build upon. In year 10, after using multiple revision strategies found the one that worked for me where I was able to exceed my peers and enjoy maths. Now I study A-Level maths in my second year aiming to go to Manchester University for a 4 year course in Business and finance sport development.

As a GCSE maths tutor, my approach revolves around personalized, student-centered learning aimed at fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts while building confidence and skills. I would tutor a student by using a 5 step technique to help them achieve a 7-9 GCSE grade. This would be through:
- Assessment and goal setting
- Active engagement and practice
- Clear explanation and practice
- Feedback and progress monitoring
- Exam technique help and examples
These 5 steps helped me achieve a grade 9 with little stress and ease. I like to keep my lessons to an hour but if requested can extend. This is mainly because I would rather my student enjoy the lesson instead of treating it like a chore.
