About Zia
I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and a BSc in Applied Chemistry. My background is strongly rooted in electrochemistry, where I focus on energy storage and conversion processes. I enjoy teaching students the principles of redox reactions and how they drive many essential chemical and industrial systems. Much of my work centres on practical applications such as batteries, fuel cells, and corrosion control. These topics not only build core chemical knowledge but also open doors to exciting research areas. I bring in real-world examples to help students see how chemistry shapes the technologies we use daily. I have worked with students pursuing renewable energy, materials science, and chemical engineering, guiding them through complex concepts with clarity and structure. My teaching approach in Chemistry is built on clarity, structure, and strong analytical thinking. I focus on deep analytical reviews and use structured case studies to connect theory with real-life applications. My lessons extend beyond general chemistry to include biochemistry, macromolecules such as proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids, as well as enzyme kinetics and metabolic pathways. I believe every student can master complex concepts when guided step by step with patience and strategy. School and university students often find biological chemistry challenging, and I support them in breaking down topics into simpler, manageable parts. By doing this, I help them refine their understanding of the chemical processes that sustain life. I also work closely with Zoology and Botany students, offering insights that bridge their fields with chemistry. Through targeted exam preparation and assignment guidance, I ensure that students build both confidence and precision. My goal is not just to prepare them for assessments but also to strengthen their problem-solving and scientific reasoning skills. With this approach, students achieve academic excellence while developing a lasting appreciation for the subject. Chemistry becomes less about memorisation and more about discovery, analysis, and connection.
