About Isla
I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and a BA in Chemistry. I specialize in helping students explore polymer chemistry and materials synthesis. My lessons focus on polymerization mechanisms, understanding material properties, and the applications of plastics, rubbers, and composites. My teaching approach focuses on making Chemistry both clear and exciting. I cover core areas such as Physical, Organic, Inorganic, and Analytical Chemistry. I also include AP Chemistry test preparation, complex problem-solving, theoretical explanations, and experimental analysis. My goal is to help students build strong conceptual understanding while applying knowledge to real problems.
I use targeted drills and practice tests to sharpen skills and track progress. Lessons are designed to simplify difficult topics and encourage active learning. I use examples from everyday life and experiments to make concepts more relatable. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs, ensuring they gain confidence.
