About Ajin

I'm Ajin, a life sciences researcher and MSc student at Cranfield University, one of the UK's leading postgraduate institutions. My academic journey spans biotechnology, medical biotechnology, and applied bioinformatics — giving me a strong foundation across both wet-lab biology and computational methods.
Beyond academics, I have a genuine passion for teaching. I enjoy breaking down complex biological concepts into clear, digestible ideas — something I've been doing informally throughout my studies and more formally through tutoring experience in life sciences subjects.
I'm patient, approachable, and adaptable. I believe every student learns differently, and I take time to understand how you think before deciding how best to explain something. My goal isn't just to help you pass an exam — it's to help you actually understand and enjoy the subject.
When I'm not studying or tutoring, I work on bioinformatics research projects involving real genomic data — so the science I teach is science I actively work with.

About the lesson

I tailor every session to the student's needs — whether that's breaking down a tricky concept from scratch, working through past papers, or building confidence before an exam. My approach is conversational and visual: I use diagrams, real-world examples, and step-by-step reasoning rather than just reciting textbook definitions.
I hold an MSc in Applied Bioinformatics from Cranfield University and a prior MSc in Medical Biotechnology, with a BSc in Biotechnology. I have hands-on teaching experience in life sciences subjects including molecular biology, genetics, immunology, and biochemistry, with a track record of helping students improve their grades and genuinely understand the material.
Sessions typically run 60 minutes, though 90-minute sessions are available for exam prep or more complex topics.
My lessons are suitable for:

GCSE and A-Level Biology, Human Biology, and Chemistry students
Undergraduate students studying life sciences, biomedical science, or related fields
Anyone needing help with bioinformatics basics (Python/R for biology)
