About Janie
"Simple memorisation rarely wins games when your opponent understands deep strategy. Most people assume that tactical patterns are purely innate, but I have found that careful study builds these skills over time.
After 6 years of teaching 399 students, I have seen how middlegame planning and defensive technique create a durable foundation. Pattern recognition and blunder checking are central to my methodical approach for students of any level. I personally enjoy analysing games where a patient, long term plan overcomes an aggressive early attack."

"Planning begins with a study plan tracked week to week for every individual. Because I emphasise a competitive mindset and time management, our sessions focus on the quiet work of evaluating pawn structures.
