About Laura

A multidisciplinary artist across the disciplines of visual art, puppetry, photography, and performing arts. You will learn creative processes from concept to testing ideas to delivery. You will learn lateral thinking and make work to get excited by. I can teach you skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, sewing, and photography, which work within your style and capabilities. The idea is to enjoy the process. I work with vulnerable people, children, emerging and established artists to create lessons suitable to each participant’s needs and goals. I also have been a panel member for the Australia Council for the Arts, Arts Tasmania and have over ten years experience in brand and marketing.

About the lesson

You will be guided from start to finish on an art project. We discuss where you want to go and what you want to create through a strategy of your goals. Work across your choice of medium/s from traditional to digital. Learn the tools to set goals, plan, prepare your artist biography and statement. Learn art-making processes, artists that connect with your work and processes. We work towards achievable outcomes based on your goals, and redefine what success looks like for you in your art-making practice. This is an opportunity to expand on your processes to build concept and artwork. Experience working with children and vulnerable people. You will need to supply your own art supplies and have access to specialized equipment.
