About Lukas
My name is Lukas and I am a musician from Germany, currently based in Birmingham, UK. I have been playing bass for 15+ years and have been composing for 5+ years. In my years of experience making and playing music, I have been fortunate enough to play and compose for a variety of different genres from Rock and Pop to Jazz, Metal and Contemporary Classical Music. While working in these different genres I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of artists, bands and ensembles which has allowed me to learn how to effectively communicate different musical ideas through different mediums, such as sheet music, tabs and everything in between.
Through teaching I am able to give students the tools, techniques and methods to get better at what they wish to do.
To help students get better at what they enjoy and are captivated by, and to see them progress and learn, is such a rewarding and joyful experience.

I am a friendly, patient and competent teacher who allows his students to dictate the pace at which we progress through any type of material. The focus is to help my students reach their individual goals and to guide and advise them on how to do that. I don’t believe in a one-fits-all method for bass playing, composing or learning music. Everyone has their own way of approaching music and I am just here to help you find it.
I have been teaching at Diploma and Degree level at BIMM Birmingham since 2023 and I am happy to teach anyone 14 years and older.
