About Joyce
I was born and raised in Guangzhou, China — a city rich in history, culture, and traditions. From a young age, I developed a deep fascination with Chinese culture, history, and music, and I have spent many years exploring, researching, and appreciating its depth and beauty. My passion for Mandarin teaching comes from a desire to share the richness of Chinese language and culture with people around the world. Live in Melbourne since high school. I believe that language is more than words — it is a bridge to understanding history, traditions, and values. Through teaching Mandarin, I hope to not only help you develop confident skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, but also give you an authentic window into China’s past and present. I also look forward to hearing your stories, impressions of China, and the unique culture from your own country. In my class, you will not only learn Mandarin, but also share and exchange cultures, building connections that go beyond language.

I use carefully selected Chinese films and music to make your Mandarin learning journey engaging and effective! Through these movies and music, you will not only improve your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, but also gain a deeper understanding of China’s history and culture. With many years of teaching experience, I have developed my own proven methods to help you feel more confident and motivated in using Mandarin in real life. I would be more than happy to guide you every step of the way.
