About Kouki
I am an experienced and passionate musician with a strong background in piano and vocal performance. I hold an ABRSM Grade 8 qualification with distinction (143/150) and have been recognized with awards such as the Spirit of the Festival - Youth Ambassadors Award at The Big Sing national choir competition. My involvement in Green Bay High School’s choir, jazz group, and chamber group has given me extensive performance experience at regional and national events, including playing piano in prestigious venues like the town hall. I aim to inspire confidence in my students by creating engaging and supportive lessons that develop their skills and understanding of music. With experience teaching and performing, I help students of all abilities reach their full potential and excel in their NCEA music studies.

My lessons are 60 minutes long and tailored to NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3. I use a personalized approach, focusing on practical skills like composition and performance, alongside theory and exam preparation. With experience teaching music and a deep understanding of the NCEA curriculum, I guide students to build confidence and achieve their academic goals. Lessons are suitable for students of all abilities, whether they’re looking to improve their grades or deepen their understanding of music. I ensure each session is engaging, structured, and adapted to meet individual needs.
