About Jaeyeon
I am a classically trained pianist of over 14 years and am currently studying classical piano with Dr. David Kaplan and pedagogical theories of music education at UCLA.
I have always been active and passionate about my musical pursuits whether it be performing or competing. Some performance-related achievements include placing in the CAPMT Honors and Contemporary Competition, advancing to and placing at the state-wide competition level, Youth Focus Competition, U.S. International Music Competition, U.S. Open Music Competition, New Star Piano Competition, and many more.
Aside from my involvement as a pianist, I have many years of musical leadership experience as a private piano tutor for students of varying skill levels. I hold strong love for teaching music and believe guiding students on their own artistic journey to be one of the greatest joys of my life. Simply put, I love playing the piano and I wish to cultivate it in my students as well.

Instruction is personalized and completely centered around the student and their needs as well as their skill set. While helping develop the basic foundations and groundwork techniques to beginner and intermediate piano, as well as honing and shaping your own unique musical sound in advanced students, I am looking to foster a love and appreciation for playing the piano, regardless of age and skill level. I hope to provide the best service and high-quality education to all.
