About Andrés
Music is my foremost passion and my ultimate goal in life is to make others enjoy this honourable profession. Music trascends language and species (yes, animals enjoy music too- according to my research, cows in particular are attentive audiences), and as such it should be shared.
I trained as a modern oboist for 11 years and when I was at College I decided to switch to historical oboes. I graduated with two 1 class honours from Royal College of Music's Bachelors and Master's programmes and have since been in increasing demand as a performer. I still have a long learning journey, but I would be honoured to teach you what I have learnt so far.

I tailor my lessons to your needs: from complete beginners to advanced students, I took courses in counterpoint, harmony, coposition and general musicianship. Aural training, dictation.
I studied solmization (do, re, mi and so on) but I also trained in English musical system (C, B, A and so on), and can teach you both. I also dedicate a considerable amount of my time to music research, so my lessons rely on the latest findings in performance practice.
Typical lenght of lesson is 1 hour. I am generous with my time so I won't charge you if we overrun slightly.
I work as a freelance musician and have been in increasing demand as a performer (see CV), and it is a pleasure to share what I have learnt.
