About Curt
I am a Masters graduate of Goldsmiths University of London with 10 years guitar experience in a multitude of professional settings, including studio and live performance environments.
I've been teaching guitar for over 5 years, my teaching philosophy is centred around growing a passion for the instrument, rather than traditional methodologies of strict regimes.

I believe every student is unique and they deserve to be treated as such. Beginners to Advanced students all have individual tastes in music, different goals they want to achieve, and varied capacities and approaches to learning.
It really is my pleasure to evolve a pathway that will help you flourish as a guitar player and musician.
Some areas I excel in helping guitar players are:
-Providing a welcoming and positive learning environment.
-Having a deep understanding of the fretboard in relation to music theory.
-Breaking down the correct methods for an economic playing technique to help prevent fatigue and injury.
-Establishing a self evaluative skillset to get the best out of your practice away from lessons.
-Approaching the guitar in new ways to aid Creative Musicianship.
I don’t believe someone should be judged by knowing an incredible amount of scales or chords, instead my aim is to help all of my students achieve a sense of fulfilment with their guitar playing and to help you develop a creative connection to your instrument.
