About Jacob
I am a Director of a College at Oxford University, examine for one of the UK's exam boards, work with various choirs, churches, orchestras and more. I am an organist, pianist, choral conductor, but also play violin, viola and sing. I compose, arrange and orchestrate in my free time. I hold a Bachelors Honours degree, Master's degree, two Associate Diplomas, and am an elected Fellow and Member of several learned societies, as well as being a member of the Royal Society of Musicians.
I offer tutoring in a wide range of topics; from academics to instrumental lessons, musical interpretation to performance practice. I have worked within secondary school and university contexts, as well as with professional, student and amateur groups.

I like to work with students by going through their own work, talking about it and making suggestions on how they can work on it. I then like to set small tasks for them to work on, rather than big un-manageable tasks.
