About James
I'm a third year music student at the University of Manchester, specialising in jazz saxophone and composition. I've been playing music for over a decade, and would love to bring this experience to lessons.
I am the musical director for the Manchester University Big Band, and often take outreach rehearsals with beginner jazz musicians. I love being able to get people enthusiastic about jazz and music in general.

When teaching students, my aim is to pass on some of my love of music making. I want to bring my enthusiasm and passion into lessons, as this makes practising and learning so much more enjoyable.
Every lesson is tailored to the goals of the student, so they can get the most out of any time we spend working together. I offer 30 minute or hour-long lessons, teaching saxophone (alto, tenor or soprano), clarinet, theory, composition and improvisation. I can teach from an absolute beginner level for people of any age, and can travel to your home too!
