About Harriet
I'm extremely passionate about education as a direct result of my own experiences as a student. Having been fortunate to have an incredible mentor and teacher in the later stages of my music education, I know the value of a teacher who cares and goes the extra mile. Through the experiences I had leading up until then, I know the weight of a teacher's influence and the impact it can have on a student's sense of self. My teaching approach is centred around promoting empowerment, inclusivity, and creative wellbeing.

By creating a relaxed and supportive learning environment, I encourage students to empower themselves as creatives and expect a requirement on my part to adapt to their needs. Every student's pathway into Music Education is extremely diverse, which is why I take a student-centred approach. Through my Postgraduate teaching qualification I centred my research around navigating differentiation and mixed-level teaching approaches, and have additionally achieved a Fellowship certification from the Higher Education Academy.
