About Andrew

I’m a professional musician and audio engineer with over 10 years of experience as a touring artist, followed by a full transition into music production and mixing. Before moving behind the console full-time, I spent years in recording studios—on both sides of the glass—learning what actually makes a mix work in real-world situations. I trained at Frightbox Recording Academy, where I developed a strong foundation in modern recording and mixing techniques. Since then, I’ve worked with a wide range of artists through Fiverr and other freelancing platforms, helping musicians turn rough recordings into clear, powerful, release-ready mixes. I specialize in mixing inside REAPER, with a practical, song-first approach. My goal isn’t to overwhelm you with theory or presets—it’s to help you understand why things work, so you can confidently mix your own music. I’m also highly experienced with EZdrummer, EZbass, and Auto-Tune, and can show you how to blend programmed instruments and tuned vocals naturally into a mix so they sound musical, cohesive, and human. About the lesson

I’m a musician and freelance audio engineer who specializes in mixing music in REAPER. If you’re recording your own songs but feel stuck with muddy mixes, unbalanced levels, or tracks that don’t sound “finished,” I can help you get there.

My lessons focus on real-world mixing, not presets or generic tutorials. We’ll work directly in REAPER to improve clarity, punch, and balance—while keeping the feel and emotion of your song intact. Mixing should serve the song, not overcomplicate it.

I’m also proficient with EZdrummer, EZbass, and Auto-Tune, and can help you integrate programmed drums, bass, and vocals naturally into your mixes—so they feel musical, cohesive, and human rather than stiff or over-processed.

What I teach:

Mixing fundamentals in REAPER (levels, panning, gain staging)

EQ, compression, saturation, and effects—when and why to use them

Mixing programmed drums and bass using EZdrummer and EZbass

Vocal tuning and polish with Auto-Tune (transparent or stylistic)

Building a mix from rough balance to final polish

Session organization and efficient REAPER workflows

Fixing common problems (mud, harsh vocals, weak drums, flat mixes)

Preparing mixes for mastering or release
