About Adela
My name is Adela Teubner! I bring 18 years' of experience as a multi-instrumentalist (including guitar, violin, and flute) and my own lived experience as a performing singer-songwriter and published poet to my teaching practice. Additionally, I studied Musicology at the University of Adelaide. I have taught music and broader creative workshops in a variety of roles since 2019, and I am so excited to help you start your music journey!

I offer beginners' songwriting lessons & workshops in a judgement-free, welcoming zone! In my lessons, I prioritise creativity, passion, and (most of all) fun over perfection and pressure, ensuring maximum student enjoyment. My songwriting areas of expertise include music theory, musicology, poetic techniques, exploring consonance and dissonance, and finding inspiration.
I am committed to being a safe space for beginners of all ages (ranging from 10-100+!) — especially for those who have traditionally been made to feel unwelcome in music spaces, like women, queer people, CALD people, and disabled folk!
