Ashley has been tutoring my 17 year old son for several weeks now, and he's absolutely loving their sessions! He's learning a lot about composition and other technical aspects of drawing, and already putting everything he's learning into use - we can see the difference already.

Most importantly (to him!), he's learning what he wants to learn, and feels empowered by having a say in what they're doing each time.

Ashley creates a very comfortable, supportive, positive and relaxed environment to learn in, and communicates clearly; we always know when our next session will be, and any supplies we need to prepare beforehand.

Ashley has helped me understand multiple areas of my character art which I felt could be improved on. On top of helping me with what I asked for, she additionally taught me new concepts which I could think about and study to further improve my artwork.
She has a deep understanding of both the technical/theory and creative sides of art and has a long history of doing art. She is very thoughtful with how she structures her lessons and ensures that there is enough content so that I can understand fully without being overwhelmed. She breaks down difficult concepts and makes it easy to absorb the information, even for a beginner.
Ashley has been very insightful with how she critiques and adjusts my art and provides multiple suggestions, diagrams and notes to help understand why and how my art can be modified to be more appealing. She is very positive and has encouraged me to challenge myself and to be a more creative artist.
She has been a great teacher and I would definitely recommend her not just for character art, but for any art in general.

Ashley was an awesome art teacher to learn from! She was able to really concisely and clearly explain colour theory in a short period of time to me with hands on examples. She’s endlessly patient when revisiting points previously made and never makes it feel awkward to admit you don’t exactly understand something and need a little more help. Definitely recommend Ashley to those looking to improve their art foundational understanding and skills!

When Ash taught me the basics of drawing faces and hands, she was super patient and insightful. She has a very hands on approach and drew along with me. I could see her passion and drive to support me as a novice drawer and it gave me so much confidence to keep going. By the end of the first class, I could see that I had already improved a lot!
