About Dominic

My name is Dominic Mitchell. I am a two-time BAFTA winner. I was the creator and lead writer of the critically acclaimed BBC drama “In The Flesh”. I was a Supervising Producer on the HBO hit series “Westworld” (season 1) I am an award-winning playwright. I won the Papa Tango New Writing Award and The Churchill Theatre Award. I have had productions of my work on at The Globe Theatre to Theatre 503. I am the artistic director of Halperin and Weston Productions, a theatre company based in Manchester that champion northern talent. I am also a writing tutor. Having led masterclasses and workshops for the BBC writersroom and The Arvon Foundation.

About the lesson

I teach a unique masterclass that covers every aspect of script writing. From writing eye catching log lines to a polished and professional final draft. The masterclass includes exclusive writing exercises such as “Write The Worst Scene In The World” How to use my trade marked “Mixtape Technique“ to come up with commercial award winning ideas. Use of the skills honed by the CIA to construct fascinating and believable characters.

I'll teach you My “TREE CLIMBING STORY” to demonstrate the 5 Act Struture. How to come up with realistic, poetic dialogue.

And how to write an ending that readers and audiences will remember for a long time.
